Adventures With Cam and Dad

Some dads and sons bond over ball games. Cam and I bond over covered bridges, lighthouse staircases, ghost tours and the occasional goose chase. Cam is my youngest son and my favorite travel buddy. He’s half deaf, he has Down syndrome, and he has a way of winning over every park ranger, brewer and tour guide we meet. For more than ten years he’s been my wingman on trips to breweries, distilleries and back roads all over America, and he helps me hand out medals at the U.S. Open Beer Championship. We’ve climbed the 303 steps of Mt. Baldy in Saugatuck, kayaked Whitewater Memorial State Park, walked deep into Mammoth Cave and crossed the Roebling Suspension Bridge from Kentucky into Cincinnati. We even celebrate our birthdays together, two days apart. This page is where we keep track of every Cam and Dad Adventure. Some are big trips and some are Saturday afternoons, and every one is built for families who want to get out and explore, at whatever pace works for them.

So pack the cooler, grab the hiking boots, and get ready to explore America
